Deloitte is seeking a Consultant 1 to join Global Employer Services group within Tax & Legal department at the Astana office.

The focus of our Global Employer Services group is to help our clients minimize their employment costs and to provide commercial advantages through employment, tax and remuneration structuring. We do this primarily by developing commercially appropriate and tax-effective employment models and compensation packages for their people working in Kazakhstan, and by helping them meet their compliance and regulatory obligations.

 

The role will involve:

  • Demonstrates understanding of the immigration compliance process and main rules of immigration law and employment legalization in Kazakhstan
  • Efficiently and timely prepares immigration application forms for inbound and outbound foreign employees (for obtaining work permits, invitation letters, visas, migration registration, etc.)
  • Participates in immigration briefings and prepares immigration briefing notes
  • Proceeds with update of immigration tracker and other status tracking tools
  • Participates in consulting work in relation to immigration employment legalization scenarios
  • Participates in immigration bulletins/alerts preparation, if necessary
  • Participates in day-to-day communication with assignees, client coordinators with respect to immigration compliance process
  • Provides support with other immigration related activities delegated by the senior colleagues (senior consultant, manager), such as: meets client for documents gathering/signing, periodically visits immigration state authorities, notary office, translation agency, etc.

 

Requirements:

  • Higher education (mathematics/economics/accounting is preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze a large volume of data
  • Advanced level of MS Excel, VBA knowledge is an advantage
  • Good level of MS PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates understanding of the immigration compliance process and main rules of immigration law and employment legalization in Kazakhstan
  • Knowledge of Labor law
  • 1-3 years of professional experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • All candidates must have full travel mobility and the right to live and work in the Republic of Kazakhstan
